Marengo Community High School District 154 issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
MCHS underclass and senior ID photo and yearbook photo sessions are being held on Friday, August 21 & Monday, August 24. Students will be photographed in a socially distanced manner in the upper gymnasium area of the building. Students who attend in person on A & B days will have their photos taken during their English classes on the days they are in the building:
B Group - Friday 8/21/20
A Group - Monday 8/24/20
C Group learners who do not attend in person will have the opportunity to have their photo taken AFTER regular school hours, from 3:30 - 4:30pm on both of those days. C group learners must contact Mrs. Stauber in Student Services (815-568-6511 x1301) to sign up for a 10-minute time slot on either of those days.
These photos will be used to create 2020-2021 student IDs for all students, and they will be available for package purchase via the VIP webstore--no paper picture packets will be available, all orders will be taken online. Seniors will be photographed as they normally would for a senior yearbook session (6 poses, select 1 for yearbook, available for purchase online). Seniors should dress accordingly for a senior portrait.
There are retake days scheduled for October in a limited capacity, so those students who are not present for the first session or who are unsatisfied with the results will have another opportunity to be photographed. Any student, remote or in-person, who does not have their picture taken on one of the days scheduled with VIP, will not appear in the portrait section of the yearbook.
Information regarding how to order pictures can be found on the VIP website http://vipis.com. To contact the studio regarding individual sessions at their Wheeling location, please call (800) 577-9570. Any other questions should be directed to Student Services at MCHS.
